Hockey Alberta Coach Certification Rules
Coaching Requirements by Division All Coaches must have applicable coaching certification by November 15th. Clinics are now being managed directly by Hockey Alberta, all clinic information can be found on their website at Hockey Alberta; Coaches; Clinic Information. Clinics require prepayment via credit card. Any required certification costs are reimbursed by GCMHA. A travel rate has been approved by the board, ask your Director for more information regarding reimbursement of your costs.

Respect in Sport is being mandated by Hockey Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity to review why our children are participating in Hockey (or any other sport for that matter) and what our role is in our children's sports. At team meetings we will discuss what is required of our parents and our coaches with this new program. This is the link to Hockey Alberta's website & the program.
Respect In Sport Parent Program ~ Certificate will be issued upon completion. This will be linked to your Child's profile in Hockey Alberta & local Registration systems.
Respect In Sport Coach Program ~ Certificate will be issued upon completion. This will be criteria for coaching in Alberta and will be linked to Hockey Alberta Coach Certification.
EQUIPMENT GUIDE ~ are you new to hockey & want to double check that you have all the right gear. This is a picture of head to toe what you will require to get your son or daughter off on the right skate!
INJURY REPORT FORM (Hockey Alberta) ~ required for any injury that occurs during minor hockey, Directors to initiate process for player. Includes Physician's portion.
